In this season of gratitude and thanks, we couldn’t be more grateful for the farmers, chefs and artisans who have shared their time, talent, and treasure with us in the making of The Farmer & The Foodie.

It is our honor to learn from each and every person featured on our show and to be able to share their stories, not just with Kentucky audiences but with PBS viewers across the nation, is a privilege. And for that privilege we owe all of our thanks to KET, our partners in this passion project.

From the nascent stages of outlining an episode, to capturing the compelling footage used to tell the story, to the exhaustive editing process, KET is dedicated to making The Farmer & The Foodie the very best program possible - and dare we say that season three is their best work yet! Every rough cut of an episode we reviewed was positively compelling thanks to the distinctive topics featured and the authentic way in which KET captured each location, craftsperson, and narrative.

And boy season three is nothing if not unique. We hug cows, pick pawpaws, visit an alpaca farm, make sorghum, wrangle Kentucky saltwater shrimp, plow a field with a team of mules, admire century old sweet potato seeds, and dip bourbon bottles in that iconic red wax. What a journey and we are so very excited to share our adventures with you starting January 7th! In the meantime, please tune in on Thursday, December 1st at 8/7pm on KET and KET.org/Live for a special on KET where we revisit our favorite moments from season two and preview season three and all the fun that is to come. None of this would be possible without KET and we are proud that The Farmer & The Foodie has found such a fruitful home. And it goes without saying that we wouldn’t be touting a season three of our show if it weren’t for you, our dedicated viewers and supporters. We wish you all a happy holiday season filled with good food shared with your nearest and dearest. Salud!
